Tech Article 4/10

Smartphones place so many apps and features at our fingertips, they’ve practically become an extension of our brains. Thanks to Apple, they may soon become an extension of our bodies too. Apple technology websites are swirling with rumors about a possible Apple “HealthBook,” a full-featured app and wristband combination for health-conscious users. The website, recently showed possible screen shots from the new app and if accurate, the device’s tracking capabilities will be far beyond what existing fitness tracker gadgets can do.

Tile Tracking Device

Tiles are matchbook-sized, Bluetooth-enabled low energy devices that track your belongings. Just stick the white Tile to your laptop (using the included double-sided adhesive), attach to keys or drop into your purse/wallet and you can find those things using the Tile iOS app. You can add up to 10 Tiles on a single account. Log into the app on your own or your friend's iPhone/iPad and pinpoint the Tile's location within an advertised range of 50 to 150 feet.Right now, Tile only works with iOS devices supporting Bluetooth 4.0: the iPhone 4S,5 5S 5C, the iPad Mini, iPad 3rd and 4th generation, and iPod Touch 5th generation and the new iPad Air.Tile is not being developed for Android at this time, since it doesn't support Bluetooth 4.0.

To me, A presentation is to present anything.Although somethink of presentations in a business meeting context, there are often occasions when that is not the case. You can present a child, anthing and so much more. You can present an invention, a person, or anything you want. A presentation needs to be sharp for business, but can be two words in other options

Do Now 3/17

If I could be invisible for a day, I would not know what to do. I would love to sneak into a movie, Go on Roller Coasters, But most of all, I would like to perform a good deed. If I could do any good deed, I would like  to drop 100$ on a poor family. One that needs it a lot. I would next like to be able to help a sick patient on his last day, Get something they've always wanted.
I would next, like to help a bully victim one the scene. I would like to punch them, Kick them, Anything to help. Millions of people get bullied each day and if i can help at least twenty, I am making a difference. I would also like to watch over a store being robbed often, to help them out. I would love to be able to be invisible for the day, but it wont ever happen so that's fine!

Why Minecraft is more than just another video game? Tech Article

The game is set in a virtual world made of cubes of different materials - dirt, rock, sand, lava, obsidian and many more. Almost all of these can be used as building blocks and a few can be refined into usable raw materials (wood, iron, diamond etc).
Playing the game involves surviving by using blocks to build a shelter (which can be as crude or elaborate as you like) and turning raw materials and combinations of them into items (swords, armour, bows) to help kill the game's many monsters (creepers, skeletons, zombie pigmen etc).
From such an uncomplicated setting has grown a gaming phenomenon. The community of people involved with the game numbers in the tens of millions. Many of those fans are children, mainly boys, aged between nine and 15 - among whom it is almost a religion.

Do Now 3/5

I think spreadsheets can be used for calculating averages
ranges and to calculate different things.
They can be used in Math, English, Science and Social Studies. In Math you can learn how to make a spreadsheet and grids. In English you can use a spreadsheet for calculating your progress and brainstorming. In science you can calculate different things like the adaptation of an organism and things.
You can use spreadsheets for many different school activities.

Do Now 2/25 :)

During my educational Do Now I learned that you always need to know different criteria before reposting or reusing a photo, document or name. First of all you need a copyright. But what is a copyright?

Copyright- Copyright is a United States federal law that protects original “works of authorship” which include literary, written, dramatic, artistic, musical and certain other types of works. {definition found at Education Technology.com

Before you can do a project with photos or videos ,or even a company name, you need copyright. A FAQ is how? Here is how to copyright anything.

  1. Reproduce the copyrighted work
  2. Display the copyrighted work publicly
  3. Prepare derivative works based on the copyrighted work
  4. Distribute copies of the copyrighted work to the public by sale, rental or lending, and or to display the image, video etc.

I hope you found everything you need to know to copyright and if you didnt here is my source of information

Blog Post 2/22

The “Talking Angela” app has been the subject of a number of fake viral rumors this week, with some saying that “pedophiles” are behind the app.
The messages aren’t true, however, and the hoax has been heavily debunked by mainstream media outlets in the past week. But the game does have some odd quirks to it.
Security firm Sophos did a write-up on the game, saying that it has a “child mode” that’s hard to tell if it’s on or not
“Users are given the option to play the Talking Angela app in child mode, a function specifically designed to safeguard young players. Within child mode, the chat bot feature is disabled so Angela can respond only to touch and repeat what she hears over the microphone. Child mode can be selected at any point within the app’s settings,” reads a statement by the                                                                   game’s maker, OutFit7.
“Talking Angela” features a talking cartoon cat that converses with players. Writers with Sophos attempted to engage in “dirty” talk with the app, but nothing happened.
“There is no explicit Adult mode so just who this cartoon cat is aimed at when it’s not in Child mode is unclear. Whoever they are, they need to be able to type because the app answers to written questions,” Sophos says.
The game is widely available for Google Play and iOS–with hundreds of thousands of downloads and a four- out of five-star rating. This week, the game’s popularity surged over the e-mail hoaxes

Tech Article, 2;12

Flappy Bird fans are questioning why on earth its mysterious developer would pull the wildly successful game after it became an instantaneous success, rising to the top of Apple’s App Store and pulling in an estimated $50,000 a day from advertising. But for Dong Nygun, the 29-year-old game maker, the fact that it had people so hooked is exactly why it had to be deleted.
“Flappy Bird was designed to play in a few minutes when you are relaxed,” Nygun told Forbes which noted that the creator seemed stressed and smoked several cigarettes during the 45-minute interview. “But it happened to become an addictive product. I think it has become a problem. To solve that problem, it’s best to take down Flappy Bird. It’s gone forever.”

Apple iPhone 6 news
The rumor as spread about Apple's next phone, called the iPhone 6. Theyre collecting every rumor, whether untrue or accurate,
Apple hasn't confirmed it's even working on a new iPhone, let alone what it will be called, but following  the company has used to name its previous phones, we are guessing it will the iPhone 6.
This early in 2014, we don't know much about what Apple has in plan for the next iPhone. That said, some trends are already popping up in the rumors. Analysts and sources claim that Apple will give us two phones this year, just like it did in September 2013 with the 5S and 5C There will be a large iPhone model, likely with a 5-inch or larger screen, and also a smaller, possibly lower-end, device closer in size to the iPhone 5S.
